Still No Information on Regional's Brackets (as of Sunday Midnight). I have uploaded a map to the gym on the Blog.

There will be a gate charge this year at the Texas Home School Tournament
Please notify your families of the gate costs:

FAMILY TOURNAMENT PASS $30 (passes for mom, dad, and children)
ADULT Daily Pass - $5/Day Tournament Pass - $12
STUDENT Daily Pass - $3/Day Tournament Pass - $7
CHILD Age 5 years and under (free)

Note: All players and two (2) coaches from each team get FREE access to all tournament games.
The two coaches must obtain a “coach badge” to gain free access to the gymnasium and the
coaches hospitality room at the IAD.

Regional Tournament Details will not be known until after Jan 29

We received a request for seeding forms for the Regional Home School Basketball Tournament that are due Jan 29. The coaches will be turning these in for each of our participating teams. What that means is that we will not have the details of our game days and times until after Jan 29.

Our 14U, 16U, and 18U boys will be playing.

The teams are planning on traveling back and forth to Houston each day.

All BVCHEA Players going to National's must register online now

For all players that plan to go to the National Home School Basketball tournament you need to go online now and fill out the registration form. You will not have to pay the $30 fee online, instead it will be worked into the Total Nationals fee and you will write a check to BVCHEA.

National Home School Basketball Tournament March 15-20 in Springfield Hotel Info

In an effort to have our entire organization staying all together in one place, the lodging committee has come up with the following:

The only place that we could get a substantial # of rooms together is the Super 8 Hotel in Nixa. Nixa is just south of Springfield.

We have 16 regular rooms booked. These are $47.00 per night plus tax with double queen beds. We also have 12 executive rooms booked. These are in an addition to the original motel so they are a little nicer and have refridgerators. There are 10 double queens and 2 kings and the rate is $55.00 plus tax. All of these rooms are in April Gilliland's name. Please call and reserve your room with your own name and credit card. The website link to this motel is

State Homeschool Tournament Feb 18-20 in Carrollton Tx Get your Hotel room now

The 18U Boys, 16U Boys, 14U Boys, 12U Boys, 18U Girls, and 12U Girls will be playing in the State Homeschool Basketball Championships in Carrolton Texas.

State Tournament - Carrollton, Texas

The 2009 Texas Home School State Basketball Championships will be held at the IAD facility in Carrollton, TX. from February 18-20, 2010. see http://www.texashomeschoolbasketball.org

We have reserved a block of rooms for the event at the rate of 64.00 a night at the country inn suites reservations can be made at 972-315-6565 it is under the Brazos Valley mustangs.

Regional Homeschool Basketball Tournament February 4-6, 2010

The 18U Boys, 16U Boys, 14U Boys, and 18U Girls will be participating in the Regional Homeschool Basketball tournament to be held February 4-6 in Houston (GYM LOCATION
10510 Westview Dr. Houston,Tx 77043). The brackets and game times are still to be determined. Your Team Mom will be determining the players and parents that will be attending the tournament. As soon as more details are known that will be posted on the bvchea blog.

Victoria Tournament January 15-16, 2010

The 14U, 16U, and 18U boys team will be playing in the Victoria Homeschool tournament. At the moment the first games have been listed BVCHEA 18U Red (JV Team) will play Friday at 10:00AM, BVCHEA 18U Black (Varsity Team) FRIDAY 1:00PM, and 14U Friday at 12:45PM.

We will be staying overnight on Friday and returning after the final game on Saturday. We will be staying at the Candlewood Suites in Victoria, 7103 N. NAVARRO STREET, VICTORIA, TX 77904. To secure a room the 14U Boys need to call Dan Hale and and the 18U and 16U boys need to contact Terri Homan. Your Team Mom should be contacting you to determine if you and your son are planning to attend the tournament, hotel needs, and transportation needs.
